			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Earlier this week we received the sad news that Jim Kermode, Head of Construction at ASN Capital, passed away on 2nd January 2012 after a long battle with cancer. Jim worked with the team at ASN Capital in one capacity or another for over twenty years and was not only a colleague but also a valued friend. Although on a short period of leave he joined his colleagues for the office Christmas lunch on 23rd December, and we enjoyed his company unaware that this would be the last time we shared it.</p>
<p>At this time our thoughts, along with those of the many sub-contractors and suppliers that worked with him, are with his wife, children and grandchildren. He will be sincerely missed.</p>
<p>Jim&#8217;s funeral will take place on Wednesday 11th January. His family have asked that no flowers be sent, but for donations to be made to <a href="http://www.juliashouse.org/" target="_blank">Julia&#8217;s House</a> children&#8217;s hospice.</p>
